Understanding
the Nine Points of View
Through Literature, Film
and Community
Curriculum 1
Completed by 10 students 2016/2017

Looking for a way to expand your community of friends who talk type?
This program will explore educational writings on the Nine Points of View, along with one novel per month. This is a small group exploration of the Nine Types in Depth, using specific literature and film to enhance our experience and enjoyment. The book or movie may offer a character who exemplifies a type, or it may explore general themes that relate to an Enneagram Type's area of attention, vice to virtue conversion, or paths to disintegration and development.
Each month, you will review a very short chapter on a specific type, read the chosen book or view the chosen film, and arrange an individual discussion with a different classmate over coffee or tea.
Group members commit to the ten sessions where we will explore together how the novel or film of the month may offer ways of understanding this type's perspective, motivations, life themes and paths to development. Dale Rhodes will provide a 45-minute teaching on the type of the month; including music, poetry, video clips of the nine types and written resources on the instincts, wings, connecting points, etc. There is plenty of time for reflections and questions amongst the eight to ten participants. This is a great way to expand your understanding of the Nine Points of View in your own life.
Participants also commit to meeting with a different member each month at a time of your choosing in order to further explore content, reflections and responses to the course content and class session. The total commitment for the academic year is ten (10) pre-scheduled monthly group sessions and nine (9) coffee/tea one-to-one meetings scheduled at your convenience with each other member.
